To preserve the beauty and longevity of genuine leather, proper care is essential. Regularly treat the leather with a suitable waterproofing spray or leather protector to help shield it from rain and snow. Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, and clean any stains as soon as they appear.
Apply a leather protector at least once per season. If your bag is made from patent (glossy) leather, do not use a leather protector, as it may react unpredictably with the finish. Before treating the entire bag, always test the product on a small, inconspicuous area—such as the bottom—to ensure it dries evenly and leaves no marks.
Important
- Ink marks and dye transfer from dark denim cannot be completely removed from genuine leather.
- Wet or heavily rubbed dark leather may transfer color onto light-colored fabrics.
- Use perfumes and hair care products with caution around your leather bag, as they may cause irreversible damage to the leather surface.
